Signs Your Coffee Roaster Needs Immediate Repair

The difference between a noise that can wait for your next scheduled service and one that means stop roasting today.

Most roaster faults give warning signs well before they cause a breakdown. Knowing which ones to act on immediately — versus which can wait for your next scheduled visit — protects both your roaster and your production schedule.

Stop roasting and message us if you notice

  • Any smell of gas around the burner housing or supply line
  • Grinding, knocking or metal-on-metal noise from the drum
  • Smoke or sparks from the electrical panel
  • A drum that won't stop rotating when the control is switched off

When in doubt, isolate and message us

If you're unsure whether a fault is safe to keep roasting through, isolate the machine at the gas and electrical supply and message the service desk on WhatsApp before continuing.
